Hi.
I’m Niki and I was born in Indianapolis, IN. I attended high school at
Ben Davis High
School (go
Giants) on the west side of Indy. After college,
I attended Butler University in Indianapolis. However, I chose to leave
after deciding to change majors. Next, I attended Indiana University-
Purdue University in Indianapolis. I graduated with a degree in New
Media from the School of Informatics. Also, I achieved a certificate in
applied computer science from Purdue University. I was elected as one of
the first ever student
representatives for the School of Informatics. Also,
I was a member of Delta Gamma Women’s fraternity.
After college, I worked for HDG Mansur Group
in downtown Indy. I
worked as an IT help desk associate. I was responsible for software
and hardware issues for the real estate investment firms branches.
Although I gained much experience and many friends, I decided to
fulfill a lifelong passion to live and serve abroad. After talking to a
returned Peace Corps Volunteer, I discovered that the PC has a need for
trained IT
individuals. So here I am. I live in Georgetown, Guyana and work at a
teacher’s training college as an IT lecturer. Recently, I married a
Guyanese
national, Ian. We plan on starting a new life together in Indy, or
wherever life takes us.
